Dan Walinga

Dan grew up playing every sport he could possibly try. After finding his passion for hockey and lacrosse he stuck with them and played at high levels in both sports. Dan still plays hockey today and has even played in New Zealand and South Korea. He is an avid golfer, camper, hiker, as well as an animal lover, that helps round out a very active lifestyle. He has 2 cats and 2 dogs which keep him and his wife Cait, very busy. They enjoyed a 6 month backpacking trip across the world (picture above is in Interlaken, Switzerland) in 2016, and then spent almost 2 years living and working as trainers in New Zealand. They now call Kamloops home and help the community thrive through servicing in home personal training to locals.

Dan lives and breathes health and fitness. Going through his own health concerns he has learned to adapt, conquer, and keep moving forward through life with the goal of thriving and not giving up. He brings that passion to work and connects with his clients. He has always envisioned helping more people and expanding his reach while never compromising individual attention and customized coaching. Enter the Walinga Fitness Dashboard – a complete health and wellness tool that was created over 2 years of conception, design, testing, and refinement using his life’s work as a Personal Trainer as the backbone. His vision has been realized through hard work and dedication and anyone can take advantage of it, at a fraction of the cost of in-person training.

Dan lives by his dads words that he heard growing up in Georgetown, Ontario – “If you’re going to do something, do it right.”  Dan has been working with clients since 2007 and has the experience, education, intuitiveness, and personality to guide you towards the best version of yourself.
